Fahrfahraway lets you offer rides or finds a lift – and it’s free of charge. That means you will not have to pay any commission for your rides or for registration. With fahrfahraway you can travel together and at low cost to any festival or place you like throughout Europe.

On fahrfahraway you can find hundreds of travel destinations but also more than 3,000 festivals in Europe. Even if you don’t know the right spelling of your favourite festival, the website will help you to find it anyway. Are you looking for a festival that is free? Simply enter »for free«, »free« or »entrance free«.

 

Your friends don’t have time or don’t want to go to the festival with you? Or you don’t like the same music? No worries! On fahrfahraway you find your ride and – if you like – a festival buddy as well.

Nothing. Registration, offering a ride and searching for a ride are free of charge. What's more, you don’t have to pay any commission.

You can access fahrfahraway via your webbrowser on your smartphone or tablet. We are also currently working on our app.

That’s easy! Take a look at the search form. There you can enter the location you want to start from and your intended destination as well as the date. Departure and destination can be both a city and a festival. When entering a festival name, the right date will appear automatically. Click on »Go« and all rides on offer will be displayed. Click on your favourite ride to see all details.

 

If you don’t find the right ride, please activate our search agent. You’ll get an e-mail as soon as someone offers a ride that matches your criteria. You find the search agent on the same page that shows your search results.

 

When you’ve found your ride, we recommend getting in touch with the driver by calling him/her. To display his or her telephone number, please click on »Contact driver«.

fahrfahraway exclusively offers a platform for passenger transport in privately-held cars. Any commercial use is prohibited and violates our General Terms and Conditions. We will block any provider who is offering a commercial ride and who is violating our General Terms and Conditions as well as the Passenger Transportation Act.

Please send us an e-mail to info@fahrfahraway.de. We will then block the user as soon as possible.

It depends on what you agreed with the driver. You can either pay before your departure or at your destination. You will have to pay cash. fahrfahraway is free to use and will not charge any commission.

Please contact the driver as soon as possible via telephone to inform him that you will not be able to go with him so that he has the chance to find another passenger.

Please sign in to be able to contact the driver. By contacting your driver through fahrfahraway, we can to protect our users’ data.

 

When searching for a ride, please click on »details« and then on »contact the driver« to see the driver’s phone number.

 

Have you already booked a ride? Please make a note of the driver’s number as soon as you book the ride.

Please make a note of the driver’s mobile phone number to be able to contact him. If you can’t reach him by phone, we recommend waiting approximately 15 minutes at the meeting point.

First, please try to contact the driver via telephone to ask him/her whether they found the item in his/her car or if they could look for it. Then, make arrangements.

 

If you can’t get hold him/her despite having called several times, send us an e-mail to info@fahrfahraway.de with a precise description (driver’s name, residence, forgotten item). We will then try to get in touch with the driver.

That's easy and fast. Click on »Share your ride« and enter all details about your ride. Your ride will be online immediately after you’ve saved all the details.

 

If you can’t find a festival, please send us an e-mail to info@fahrfahraway.de. We will then add the festival within 24 hours.

You can take as many passengers in your car as indicated in the vehicle documents (driver included).

 

For long distances, we recommend only taking two passengers in the back seat.

If you have reason to believe that the passenger is not allowed to cross a border, we suggest not taking him/her with you.

 

Please ask the passenger
» to show you his/her ID or passport and if necessary a visa, 
» to give you a copy of the documents mentioned above, 
» to give you written confirmation regarding the copies assuring that the documents presented are valid and authorise to cross a border.

To be able to reach him/her, please make a note of your passenger’s number as soon as you confirm the ride.

You can change all details of your ride in your profile under »Your rides«, »You’re driving«. To do so, you need to sign in.

You should really think about not taking more money from your passengers than you need to cover the petrol costs for the ride. Otherwise, the ride isclassed as commercial and may be blocked.

It depends on what you agreed in advance. You get the money either at the meeting point or at the destination. fahrfahraway is free to use and will not charge any commission.

You can cancel or delete the ride on your profile page via »Your rides«, »You’re driver«. Your passengers will then be informed via e-mail. However, please also contact your passengers via telephone to inform them about the cancelled ride.

Please make a note of the passenger’s mobile number so you are able to contact him/her if you are going to be late. If you can’t reach him/her via telephone, we recommend waiting approximately 15 minutes before you start your journey.

In case of an accident, the passengers are insured via your motor vehicle liability and the state accident insurance.

First, try to contact the passenger via telephone to tell him/her he/she has forgotten something and to make arrangements.

 

If you can’t reach him/her despite having called several times, please send us an e-mail to info@fahrfahraway.de telling us as many details as you can (passenger’s name, residence, forgotten item). We will then try to get in touch with the passenger.
